Loosen the seedlings in the tray or pot you are pricking out from and if possible lift them one at a time by their seed leaves. Never hold seedlings by their stems as this can damage them. Gently firm the compost around the roots, being careful not to press too hard. Water thoroughly, and then keep the plants in a well lit spot but out of direct sunlight.
